Clash of Clans players are getting hints about the upcoming Town Hall 17 so they are super excited for this major update. Supercell typically launches a new Town Hall level after Hammer Jam, and Clashers are impatiently expecting the same this time as well.
Clash of Clans has released some sneak peeks for a new upcoming update such as a new hero, upgraded levels for barracks, and spell factory, a new super troop, and more in their official videos, the latest Reddit AMA, and discussions in the Clash of Clans World Championship.
The exact date for the release of townhall 17 has yet to be announced officially but we got a clue at the end of the last “Hammer Jam film” (1:23) released on Nov 7, 2024. This indicated the “11, 2024” which points to November 2024. Since Hammer Jam is ending on the 25th of November, hopefully, this will happen in the last week of November 2024.
However, there’s a chance to be released at the start of December 2024 because Supercell mentioned at the time of launching Town Hall 16 (December 2023), that there would be a gap of almost 12 months for the next TH level update.
Clash of Clans revealed the look for the upcoming town hall 17 building in the last email they sent to players for 50% off for all home village upgrade costs. Here they showed townhall 16 and an arrow pointing toward another building that is most probably townhall 17.
This building has exactly the same structure that was shown in the blueprint of the town hall building in the Hammer Jam podcast. This also has an eagle facing the front of the building which presents the eagle artillery. We can also say this because the COC developers announced merging the Eagle Artillery into the town hall on th17 replacing the Inferno beams (Giga Inferno: town hall weapon).
We can expect new levels for barracks and spell factory that could be upgraded in town hall 17. These levels are not announced but we got them from various official videos that showed the changed building structures of barracks and spell factory.
If these buildings are getting new level upgrades in the th17 base, some new spells and new troops are sure to be unlocked.
You can have a look at these buildings by watching Clash of Clans videos “Supercharges are Here!” (1:04) released on Oct 2, 2024, for new barracks level, and “Deliver Justice Season” (0:09) released on Oct 31, 2024, for new spell factory level.
Players are heartily waiting for a new Clash of Clans hero as the officials have displayed an additional hero alter in the home village base in “Deliver Justice Season” (0:09). This is the Battle Machine’s alter from builder hall but it could be a clue for players to get a new hero with th 17.
What will be a new hero, troop, or any super troop, it is still a mystery because Clash of Clans does not reveal any hint about it. The altar is just a riddle and the barracks building is also not displaying any clue for new unlocking troops.
Players got a new character as a private investigator in the last Hammer Jam film (0:37) and Clash of Clans also showed its shadow on the town hall blueprint in a Facebook post, but that is still an undisclosed character.
Looking at the images of the town hall, barracks, and spell factory we can expect that the th17 base will have a dark theme with Egyptian blue, green-black, and golden colors.
Clash of Clans started an investigation series to give clues to players on its social platforms. This is a unique way to engage the Clashers and warm up them for the upcoming big update. These hints are in the form of pictures collected by Clash of Clans’ undisclosed character “Private Investigator”.
The last image showed the investigator standing at a door where statues are placed on both sides and a hanging purple flag that displays golden horns. Hopefully, this was a clue for a new upcoming hero. This time the investigator provided a clue which was a flask, probably a new spell. This jar looks like other spell jars and it has golden wings that may be pointing to the eagle.
From sneak peeks in videos and official communications, it’s clear that Supercell has big plans for a new Town Hall level. The release is expected in late November or early December 2024 which hopefully will have exciting surprises. The Clash of Clans community’s excitement continues to grow and players are eagerly awaiting this upcoming major update.
